Terms and Conditions – Hotel Residence Le Coin 

Definitions 

“Hotel,” “we,” “our” and “company” refer to Hotel Residence Le Coin, Nieuwe Doelenstraat 5, 1012 CP Amsterdam, The Netherlands. 

“Booking” refers to a reservation made for accommodation, services, or any other items offered by us. 

“Contract” means the booking in combination with these terms and any other specific conditions agreed upon. 

“Terms” refers to this full set of terms and conditions. 

“Websites” refers to www.lecoin.nl or any affiliated site operated by us. 

“VAT” means value-added tax. 

 

General 

These terms apply to all bookings made with Hotel Residence Le Coin. By confirming your reservation, you agree to these terms, which are governed and interpreted in accordance with Dutch law. Terms may be updated at any time and are applicable from the moment of booking and throughout your stay. 

 

Bookings 

When making a reservation or at check-in, Hotel Residence Le Coin will require your credit card details. These serve as a guarantee and allow us to charge any expenses owed. We may request full prepayment and/or a deposit of €100 depending on the type of booking or services requested. Your booking is not confirmed until all required information and payments have been received. 

Reservations must be made for the actual number of guests. Bringing unregistered guests to the hotel or your room is not permitted. Bookings must be made in good faith and are intended solely for personal accommodation purposes. Resale, unauthorized assignment, or speculative or fraudulent bookings are not allowed. 

Guests under the age of 18 are not permitted to stay in a room without supervision from a parent or legal guardian. 

 

 

Payments 

We accept the following payment methods: VISA, VISA Electron, V Pay, MasterCard, American Express, Maestro, debit cards, and most digital payment options. The hotel operates on a cashless basis. 

At check-in, we will authorize your card for the full amount of your stay (room rate, VAT, and any applicable service charges) plus a hold for expected incidentals. Full payment for all outstanding charges is due at check-out. If your stay is longer than a few days, we may ask for interim payments. Your card details will be securely stored as a deposit during your stay for any extra charges. 

 

Rates, City Tax and Tourism Fee 

Room rates are confirmed at the time of booking. Breakfast is only included if stated in the selected rate plan. All prices are shown in Euros and include VAT. Rates may change due to currency fluctuations. 

City Tax is not included in the room rate and will be charged separately. As of now, Amsterdam charges a 12.5% City Tax, but this may change between the time of booking and your stay. 

 

Cancellation, No-Shows, and Alterations 

Hotel Residence Le Coin offers two types of rates: Standard Rate and Non-Refundable Rate. Policies differ by rate type: 

Standard Rate 

Free cancellation or changes up to 24 hours before the scheduled check-in time (15:00 local time). 

Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance, or no-shows, will result in a charge of 100% of the booking value (excluding City Tax). 

Cancellations or modifications must be submitted in writing. 

Approved refunds are generally processed within 10 days. 

Non-Refundable Rate 

Changes or cancellations are not permitted. The full amount will be charged at the time of booking. 

A valid credit card must be presented at check-in. 

For bookings made via third-party platforms (e.g. Booking.com, Expedia), changes must be requested through the same platform. 

Check-In / Check-Out 

All guests aged 16 and above must present valid identification, a booking reference, and a credit card at check-in. 

Check-in: from 15:00 local time. 

Check-out: by 11:00 on the day of departure. 

Late check-out may be available upon request and will incur additional charges. 

Secured reservations are held until 23:59 on the scheduled arrival date. Non-secured bookings are held until 18:00, after which the room may be released unless the hotel is notified in advance. 

 

Early Check-Out 

Should you wish to leave earlier than your booked departure date, please notify reception by 14:00 the day prior to your new departure date to avoid any late cancellation charges. 

 

Accessibility 

Hotel Residence Le Coin is equipped with an elevator; however, not all rooms are wheelchair accessible. Please contact us in advance if you have specific accessibility needs. 

 

Behaviour 

Guests are expected to behave respectfully toward other guests, staff, and the hotel property. Disruptive, offensive, or unsafe behavior may result in eviction from the premises without refund. Guests are responsible for following safety procedures and maintaining a peaceful environment. 

Damage to furnishings or artwork may result in additional charges to your credit card. 

 

Minors 

Children and teenagers under 18 are not allowed to stay unaccompanied. At least one parent or legal guardian must be present in the room. 

Pets 

Pets are not permitted in any guest rooms or public areas. Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the hotel; please inform us during booking. 

 

Non-Smoking Policy 

Hotel Residence Le Coin is a non-smoking property. Smoking is prohibited in all rooms and public areas. Violations may result in cleaning fees and penalty charges. 

 

Parking 

The hotel does not offer private parking. Street parking in the area is limited. We are happy to suggest nearby parking options—please inquire in advance of your arrival. 

 

Liability 

Hotel Residence Le Coin is not responsible for the loss or theft of personal belongings in guest rooms or on the premises. 

 

Damages 

You authorize Hotel Residence Le Coin to charge your credit card for any damages to the room or hotel property, or for missing items upon check-out. 

 

Force Majeure 

We are not liable for any failure to provide services due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, strikes, civil unrest, government regulations, extreme weather, or other emergencies. 

 

Wi-Fi 

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. Each room has a private network with the password provided in your welcome materials. For public areas, network details can be requested at reception. 

We do not guarantee uninterrupted service and are not responsible for the security or integrity of any data transmitted over the network. Use of the network for unlawful or prohibited activity is strictly forbidden. 

Privacy 

All personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are available upon request. 

 

Lost and Found 

Lost items are registered and stored for up to three months. 
 If you would like your item returned, we are happy to ship it via PostNL or FedEx. Please note: 

A €15 handling fee applies. 

All shipping costs are entirely at the guest’s expense. 

 

Third-Party Websites 

Hotel Residence Le Coin is not responsible for the content of third-party websites linked to or from our site. Use of third-party platforms is at your own risk and does not imply endorsement or affiliation.
